Astrocast – Brief for May 2012

This will be a short description of the upcoming planetary involvement for the month of May and  a brief reminder for each of the signs to let us know what we can envision for the month.  See a more detailed forecast on this site at http://gwynnemayer.com/2012/second-quarter-astrocast-april-may-june-2012/ for the months of April, May and June.  The main event for this month is Venus turning Retrograde on May 15^th – June 27^th in the sign of Gemini, affecting us all in the areas of love, money, desire and manifestation, creating the duality in our natures, depending on our own birth Sun, Ascendant and Moon signs.  Pay attention to all three while reading this forecast.

Aries

Work with the creative side of Pluto and start watching where you act out with your impulses…spending money will not buy you happiness, nor will flitting from one great idea to the next.  It is time to curb the ‘reactions’ and start acting ‘response able’ or the karma will pile up and changes will be made ‘for’ you rather than ‘by’ you.  You cannot keep going with self-indulgence, you have to think of the ‘other’.  Expect the unexpected in this powerful time and try to learn to calm yourself a bit!

Taurus

Taurus is advancing in many ways, finances and possessions, however you don’t want to lose sight of your partner’s contributions and his/her own fair share of the finances.  Balance and honesty will help you get through this month.  You have denied certain conditions around relationships that are now coming to the forefront. These things need to be dealt with immediately without any procrastination on your part. The Venusian ruler of your sign turns Retrograde May 15 for the next 43 days.  Think in creative ways to make this month one of the most decisive ones in your lifetime.

Gemini

You have been letting go of attachments right and left and now it is time to delve into some creative maneuvering that you have put on the back shelf.  It might be a project that you let go of many months/years ago and now it is haunting you to start the work.  The first of the month will be more helpful to make plans for completion and you might find yourself burning the midnight oil alone so you have the time and the disposition to create your dream.

Cancer

You have had to make changes in your relationship communication recently and now it is time to make some changes with those you call your friends.  If you are paying attention to what you feel and need first, then that is a good thing, rather than replenish your energy as an afterthought.  Changes in the arrangement in your home may throw you off balance, but make the best of it and find a way to feng shui for success!  Also look into studying some of your spiritual needs and pay attention to your dreams.

Leo

Leos need to find some respite in their dreams and ambitions and start looking at having some fun in life rather than make it about ‘work’.  If health concerns have popped up recently it is purely the fact that we Leos have neglected what is important for our better health, mentally, spiritually and physically.  It is time to see how those are all tied together and not in such a way as to distance ourselves from our basic needs in life.  The Leos have had to come to grips with ‘the way they live their lives’ and make the needed changes all the way through.  The fire energies are supportive of this.

Virgo

Virgo has gone though some major awareness and conscious expansion due to Mars turning Rx and then direct, in their sign.  It has caused upheaval and paradigm shifts in major ways forcing the Virgo to take a new look at old habits and ways of thinking that have interfered with progress in all areas.  Changes are easily made if you can see what the real roots of the problems are, however if you are going to make these changes and then be in your comfort zone, watch out as you may hit a wall of your own making.  Changes need to made in home and career this month and often times in both at the same time.  Just grin and bear it!

Libra

Librans are relaxing into a more comfortable position, and a well-maintained position this next month; your love life may be on the upswing if you are not ignoring your sexual and monetary endeavors with a partner.  Sometimes Libran’s fool themselves into thinking, problems do not exist until so much pressure is on them, it forces them to take a look!  Watch your money and take care of your budget so that you can have all the goodies in life that you deserve.

Scorpio

Scorpios need to tweak their relationships in the next few weeks so that they don’t end up losing everything they have worked for the last few years.   You and only you know what needs to be done so don’t go asking for advice when you haven’t faced up to the truth of your  well-being.  It is time to take an accounting of your money, your responsibilities and your future.  There will not be a better time than now!  This makes demands on you to be truthful with yourself and come to grips with issues you have been ignoring.

Sagittarius

Home is changing and careers demand attention right now.  You are forever optimistic and you have ignored some things that are now messing with your energy; sucking your energy to be exact!  If you have children, provide some time for them and maybe enjoy or plan a vacation so that you can spend quality time with your family.   You have lost sight of some important things you wanted to accomplish in life so get back to the basics and learn what drives your passion.  Don’t keep procrastinating!

Capricorn

You are much more serious about life and accomplishments than you have ever been.  Be realistic about budgeting money and don’t get lost in the confusion of your own accountability.  You have some wisdom in this area of equating talent with financial gain, so use it!  You have had some recent problems in the family either through illness or distancing or both and it is time to make amends with those who are ready to do that, however you cannot lead a horse to water and then force them to drink. Me thinks you have learned that well the last couple of years.

Aquarius

The issues on your mind are all about money and connecting to your passions in life.  You are finding your ‘purpose’ and it seems to be driving the engines of your soul at this point in time.  Keep your eyes on the road and be safe so that you don’t spin out of control.  Your dreams have been significant of late and they will guide you into the areas you need to go, as your fountain is sourced by your unconscious and often, dreams are our only clue as to where to go and what to do.  Also meditation and prayer help to focus you, by allowing your mind to make connection to God and those angels that surround you.

Pisces

Pisces seems to be taking care of medical issues if not issues in the medical field.  This is a good time to get the body, mind and soul in alignment and don’t ignore what needs to be done.  You have felt these things deeply and now are beginning to move forward.  It might be also time to educate yourself on some other areas of interest so that you have the background in the near future to follow your dream.  It is never too late to learn and especially in the creative way that you are meant to guide others and follow that ‘yellow brick road’.  Be realistic combined with creativity.  It will all work out!
